DESCRIPTION:Join us in the historic Victorian home of KSO founder Bertha Walburn Clark. Bertha Clark laid the foundation for the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra when she performed with her string quartet in 1910 at the opening gala of the Atkin Hotel. The KSO held its first official concert on November 24\, 1935. This home was constructed in 1889 and has been lovingly restored by Sean Bolen and homeowner Alison Hardy. It is in the North Knoxville Historic Neighborhood. \nBertha Clark played the violin and viola\, and KSO violist Josh Ulrich will play HER viola for us at this special event! The Burwell Building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. In the home of Jim and Kim Hays\, you will be served the soup/salad course along with beverage pairings. \nFrom here we will take a short walk to the home of Avi and Illana Zenatti in the Rebori Building. This was the former and original home of the Lawson McGhee Public Library. Avi and Illena are the owners of Kopita’s Restaurant on Gay Street.
