[Wait List Available] What is a Resident Conductor?

April 16, 2023 @ 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Free – $100.00

What an afternoon you’ll have when you join us to meet our charismatic Resident Conductor, James Fellenbaum (aka Jim). He will have tales to tell (on himself) and we have a few to add.

Over the years, he has made extraordinary entrances, donned somewhat unusual costumes, and let the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra and the Knoxville Symphony Youth Orchestra in magnificent, challenging, and awe-inspiring music. He personifies entertainment on a grand scale!

Jim has spent 18 seasons with the KSO, 14 seasons with the KSYO, and, since 2018, has held the position of Artistic Director and Conductor of the Brevard Philharmonic in North Carolina. Jim is the Director of Orchestras at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville since 2003.
