The Creativity of Margaret Green Rodgers
April 16, 2020 @ 12:00 pm
$60Preview the 100-year-old home of Margaret and Clifford Rodgers. Built in
1923 on Kingston Pike at Cherokee Boulevard, the home was continually
occupied through 2010 by Mrs. Clarence Beaman. Virtually untouched
since 1923, the Rodgers created a 21st century home inside a century old
shell. Margaret worked as General Contractor supervising every aspect
and detail. She lovingly incorporated salvaged items from her childhood
home with original architectural details. The ground floor has 2,000 sq.
- of new construction which seamlessly transitions to the original house,
as if it was always meant to be. The home is a fitting background for
the Rodgers’ eclectic collection of furniture and artwork gathered from
travels, auctions, favorite artists, and inherited from family.
