The Clinton 12 Remembered
April 25, 2020 @ 6:30 pm
$75In August 1956, The Clinton 12 broke the color barrier in K-12 education
in the American South. At that time, future attorney, Jerry Shattuck, was
the student body president and captain of the football team at Clinton High
School. As such, he had a front row seat in that time in history. Join us as
Jerry recreates that time, the mob violence, the bombing of the high school,
and the courageous efforts of local citizens and students who opposed the
violence. Most of all, be amazed by the courage of the 12 black teenage
students who simply wanted an education in their hometown.
