[Wait List Available] KSO Founder’s Home
Join us in the historic Victorian home of KSO founder Bertha Walburn Clark. Bertha Clark laid the foundation for the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra when she performed with her string quartet in 1910 at the opening gala of the Atkin Hotel. The KSO held its first official concert on November 24, 1935. This home was constructed in 1889 and has been lovingly restored by Sean Bolen and homeowner Alison Hardy. It is in the North Knoxville Historic Neighborhood.
Bertha Clark played the violin and viola, and KSO violist Josh Ulrich will play HER viola for us at this special event! We will also tour the home and learn some history of the area and restoration plans from Sean Bolen. This promises to be a very special evening.
